What Does It Mean to Be “National Board Certified”?
You may have noticed that I often mention being a "National Board Certified" Health and Wellness Coach. But what does that really mean, and why is it so important?
In the age of text message confirmations, virtual appointments, and Zoom meetings, it is more important than ever to vet the people whom you are working with in any context. When it comes to something as vital as your health, it is imperative that you are putting your trust in a worthy professional.
This is why I feel so strongly about the importance of finding a certified wellness coach - someone who can offer evidence of their commitment to up-to-date education in the field and proven methods of improving health and wellbeing. I received my certification after completing a rigorous course at the Institute of Integrative Health and passing a national exam, but you can do your own research into any person offering coaching services to see their credentials and training.
If you have any questions about this, or any other aspects of health and wellness coaching, check out my certification page or contact me!
