FAQs
What is health and wellness coaching?
Health and wellness coaching pairs you, the client, with an educated professional that can evaluate your needs and guide your choices - whether toward a specific health goal or on an overall path of increased wellness.
Why do I need a coach for my health?
If you were learning a new skill, you would seek an expert in that field to teach you. Why not give the same care and consideration to your own wellbeing? Health coaches are not just sources for healthy eating habits, but passionate professionals motivated to meet you where you are and help you journey to achieve all of your life goals.
Why should I find a board-certified coach?
A National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach has sat for and passed a 5-hour exam and completed a minimum of 50 coaching sessions. Anyone can call themselves a wellness coach or a nutritionist; finding a board-certified coach ensures that you are entrusting your health to a committed and qualified professional.
What is my obligation as a client?
As a client, your main obligation is to come to a session with a purpose. Health coaching can be a short- or long-term commitment, and can vary widely between individuals based on what someone is looking to achieve. By having a clear goal in mind - to lose weight, to keep up with your grandkids, to climb a mountain or a flight of stairs - you can optimize your sessions and enable your coach to better assist you.
What are the benefits of health coaching?
I worked with a client whose entire life was being affected by their diet. Though they didn’t realize it, the nutritional choices they were making - or not making - were impacting every aspect of their day. They were feeling unhappy and unwell. By unpacking the root causes of their issues and defining a clear goal for wellbeing, I was able to help them make small, incremental changes that were comfortable and easy, but led to massive improvements in their overall comfort and success. I am passionate about wellness coaching because I am passionate about helping people. Your health is the most important resource at your disposal, and it is up to you how you nurture it. Let’s work together to prioritize your wellness and explore the benefits of your better health today.
